Role Description

Evaluate website functionality, digital experiences, and promotional codes through structured testing. Follow assigned instructions, document reproducible issues, and provide accurate findings that help improve usability, reliability, and promotional accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

• Review test objectives, scope, instructions, and reporting deadlines.
• Test assigned pages, navigation, forms, search features, and checkout journeys.
• Compare actual results with expected behavior across specified browsers and devices.
• Document issues with reproduction steps, environment details, and supporting screenshots or recordings.
• Check existing reports to avoid duplicate submissions.
• Retest fixes and record whether reported issues have been resolved.
• Maintain accurate test records, including successful checks and unsuccessful attempts.
• Use approved accounts and test data, protecting confidential information.
• Stay within authorized testing boundaries and report unexpected security or payment issues.
• Flag blockers, unclear requirements, and incomplete coverage promptly.

Role-Specific Responsibilities

• Website Bug Tester: Execute functional checks, identify broken or inconsistent behavior, and submit actionable defect reports.
• Crowdtester: Complete testing cycles using eligible devices, locations, or user profiles, following platform guidelines and evidence requirements.
• Coupon Code Tester: Verify promotional codes against stated conditions, including eligible products, minimum spend, expiry, exclusions, and discount calculations. Complete purchases only when explicitly authorized.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured instructions.
• Clear written communication and accurate recordkeeping skills.
• Ability to explain issues objectively and provide reproducible steps.
• Familiarity with browsers, mobile devices, screenshots, and screen recording.
• Reliability and ability to meet agreed deadlines.
• Access to the equipment and internet connection required for assigned tests.
• Sound judgment when handling credentials, personal information, and confidential materials.
• A relevant school qualification or equivalent practical experience; entry-level candidates may be considered.
• For coupon testing, basic numeracy and ability to interpret promotional terms.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with test cases, defect tracking tools, or crowdtesting platforms.
• Experience testing across browsers, operating systems, and screen sizes.
• Basic knowledge of accessibility and e-commerce workflows.
• Ability to distinguish functional defects from usability feedback and environment-specific issues.
• Experience collecting logs or diagnostic information using approved tools.
