About the role

This is a Part-Time Website Developer position working 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM AEST. You will develop, build, and maintain responsive websites across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices, converting design concepts into functional web pages and ensuring optimal performance and reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, build, and maintain responsive websites across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices
• Convert design concepts, mock-ups, and specifications into functional web pages
• Implement website updates, new features, landing pages, forms, and content changes
• Troubleshoot and resolve website errors, bugs, broken links, and technical issues
• Develop clean, responsive, and user-friendly interfaces using HTML, PHP, CSS, JavaScript, and other relevant technologies
• Build and manage websites using CMS and website-building platforms such as WordPress, Webflow, Shopify, or similar systems
• Improve website loading speed, responsiveness, and overall performance
• Implement basic technical SEO best practices, including page structure, metadata, URLs, and image optimisation
• Work closely with the Administration Assistant, Creative Director, and other team members to deliver website projects
• Provide technical recommendations regarding website functionality, usability, performance, and development requirements

About you

• Proven experience as a Website Developer, Web Developer, Front-End Developer, WordPress Developer or similar role
• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and PHP
• Practical experience with WordPress or other CMS platforms
• Experience with Elementor, WP Bakery, or other WordPress page builders
• Experience developing responsive and mobile-friendly websites
• Understanding of website hosting, domains, SSL, DNS, backups, and basic website security
• Familiarity with website performance optimisation and technical SEO
• Experience troubleshooting website issues and resolving technical problems
• Good understanding of UI/UX principles and how design translates into functional websites
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
