Key Responsibilities
Website Development & Maintenance

• Develop, build, and maintain responsive websites across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
• Convert design concepts, mock-ups, and specifications into functional web pages.
• Implement website updates, new features, landing pages, forms, and content changes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve website errors, bugs, broken links, and technical issues.
• Maintain and improve existing websites to ensure reliability and optimal performance.
• Manage website domains, hosting, SSL certificates, backups, and other technical requirements as needed.

Front-End Development

• Develop clean, responsive, and user-friendly interfaces using HTML, PHP, CSS, JavaScript, and other relevant technologies.
• Ensure websites are consistent with approved branding, layouts, and design standards.
• Optimise websites for different browsers, screen sizes, and devices.
• Implement animations, interactive elements, forms, and other front-end functionality where required.

CMS & Website Platforms

• Build and manage websites using relevant CMS and website-building platforms such as WordPress, Webflow, Shopify, or similar systems.
• Install, configure, update, and maintain themes, plugins, integrations, and website components.
• Manage website content and provide technical support to team members when required.
• Ensure CMS platforms and third-party integrations remain secure and up to date.

Website Performance & SEO

• Improve website loading speed, responsiveness, and overall performance.
• Implement basic technical SEO best practices, including page structure, metadata, URLs, image optimisation, and mobile responsiveness.
• Monitor website performance and identify opportunities for technical improvements.
• Ensure websites follow basic accessibility and usability best practices.

Technical Support & Troubleshooting

• Investigate and resolve website-related technical issues promptly.
• Identify compatibility issues between browsers, plugins, themes, APIs, and third-party services.
• Perform regular website updates, backups, security checks, and maintenance.
• Coordinate with external developers, hosting providers, or software vendors when necessary.

Collaboration

• Work closely with the Administration Assistant and Creative Director, and other team members to deliver website projects.
• Provide technical recommendations regarding website functionality, usability, performance, and development requirements.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• Manage multiple website tasks and priorities while meeting agreed deadlines.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Website Developer, Web Developer, Front-End Developer, Wordpress Developer or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and PHP.
• Practical experience with WordPress or other CMS platforms.
• Experience with Elementor, WP Bakery, or other WordPress page builders
• Experience developing responsive and mobile-friendly websites.
• Understanding of website hosting, domains, SSL, DNS, backups, and basic website security.
• Familiarity with website performance optimisation and technical SEO.
• Experience troubleshooting website issues and resolving technical problems.
• Good understanding of UI/UX principles and how design translates into functional websites.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Good written and verbal English communication skills.

Desirable Skills
Experience with any of the following would be advantageous:

• SQL
• React, Vue.js, or other JavaScript frameworks
