The role Our partner is a major investment firm currently dealing with a cluttered internal web ecosystem that hinders their daily operations. As a Website Development Intern, you will work fully remote to help us clean up their internal interfaces and ensure their team can find the data they need to make decisions. This role is about the practical side of web management: making sure things load, links work, and data flows to the right place without interruption.

What you will do

• Audit existing internal pages for the investment firm to identify broken scripts or navigation errors.
• Update and maintain internal documentation sites to ensure all technical guides are accurate and easy to read.
• Clean up HTML and CSS across various internal landing pages to improve readability and consistent layout.
• Assist in migrating content from outdated spreadsheets into structured web portals and internal dashboards.
• Test web forms and user interfaces to find bugs or logic errors that block internal workflows for the client.
• Monitor site logs to identify recurring errors that users encounter during their daily tasks.
• Check broken links and outdated redirects on the intranet pages to ensure continuous access to resources.
• Document the changes you make so the client team can manage the site once our engagement is complete.

What we are looking for

• A basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and how web pages are structured and styled.
• Curiosity about how data moves from a back-end database to a front-end browser window.
• The ability to write clear, plain English documentation that a non-technical person can follow.
• Familiarity with web browser developer tools for troubleshooting layout or basic script issues.
• Strong attention to detail, especially when checking links or verifying data accuracy across different systems.
• A logical approach to solving problems rather than just trying random fixes until something works.
• Comfort working independently in a remote setting while providing clear, written updates on your progress.
• Basic knowledge of JavaScript for simple web interactions and form validation.
