Website Operations Engineer

About the role

This position owns end-to-end website operations: from routine maintenance and content publishing through backend configuration and security governance. You will operate with high autonomy, taking clear ownership of web infrastructure with minimal hands-on supervision.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee servers, domains, SSL certificates, hosting environments and databases
• Conduct regular health checks, resource observability, and sustain site availability
• Lead troubleshooting when incidents occur, conduct root-cause analysis, and maintain structured documentation to reduce recurrence
• Implement scheduled backup regimes and validate recovery procedures
• Administer backend functions including user access permissions, category structures, page modules and site navigation
• Execute content updates for product materials, case studies, announcements and corporate news
• Conduct pre-release quality checks: identifying broken links, layout inconsistencies and textual errors
• Carry out periodic vulnerability assessments, apply required patches, and monitor for anomalous traffic and unauthorised access patterns
• Optimise page-load performance and cross-device compatibility
• Maintain orderly records covering inspections, configuration changes and incident histories and liaise with domain registrars, hosting providers and other third-party vendors

About you

• Associate degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related technical discipline
• Minimum 3 years practical hands-on experience in website operation and administration
• Solid working knowledge of web architecture including servers, DNS, SSL and databases, and can resolve common production issues independently
• Practical awareness of prevailing web security risks and baseline remediation practices
• Proficiency administering mainstream CMS platforms for content workflows and backend configuration
• Proven experience working with Linux, PostgreSQL or MySQL
• Exposure deploying and maintaining production clusters on K3s
• Competence configuring Nginx or Traefik, together with hands-on database backup-and-recovery workflows
• Basic working familiarity with HTML / CSS for lightweight page adjustments
• Methodical attention to detail, strong personal accountability, and composed incident response under pressure
