WebSphere Production Support Engineer

We are looking for a skilled WebSphere Production Support Engineer with 4 to 8 years of experience in supporting, monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining WebSphere Application Server environments. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in middleware support, incident management, performance tuning, and production support activities.

Required Technical Skills

• Hands-on experience with IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS)
• Experience in Production Support and Application Support activities
• Strong knowledge of WebSphere installation, configuration, deployment, and administration
• Experience in troubleshooting application and server-related issues
• Knowledge of JVM tuning, Heap Dumps, Thread Dumps, and GC Analysis
• Experience with Unix/Linux operating systems
• Understanding of HTTP, HTTPS, SSL Certificates, and Networking concepts
• Experience in Incident, Change, and Problem Management
• Knowledge of Application Deployment and Environment Management
• Experience with Log Analysis and Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
• Understanding of Web Servers such as IBM HTTP Server (IHS) or Apache.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide L2/L3 production support for WebSphere environments.
• Monitor application health and server performance.
• Analyze and resolve incidents within SLA timelines.
• Perform application deployments and server configurations.
• Troubleshoot JVM, memory, performance, and connectivity issues.
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis and implement preventive measures.
• Coordinate with development, infrastructure, and business teams for issue resolution.
• Support production releases, maintenance activities, and change implementations.
• Prepare operational documentation, SOPs, and support reports.
• Participate in on-call support and critical incident management.
