Webstore Executive – E-commerce & Website Optimisation

Make the webstore easier for customers—and easier for the business to run.

You will turn unclear business needs into practical improvements, making the webstore smoother, faster and less dependent on developers for routine changes.

WORKING ARRANGEMENTS

• Salary: RM5,000–RM7,000 per month, depending on experience and capability

• Location: Chew Jetty, 10300 George Town, Penang

• Monday–Friday, 10:00am–7:00pm

• Saturday, 10:00am–2:00pm, flexible WFH and deliverable-focused

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field

• Strong written English, clear thinking, structured reporting and confident cross-team communication

• Strong market research, multi-platform exploration, data analysis and problem-solving ability

• Comfortable turning ambiguous or incomplete requirements into executable solutions

• Self-driven learner with genuine interest in technology and a record of applying new skills

• Uses AI tools effectively for research, analysis, content, documentation, automation and problem solving

• Commercially aware and able to interpret basic traffic, sales, conversion and customer-behaviour data

• Good visual judgement and able to produce clean, consistent and professional outcomes

• Experience with e-commerce platforms, web analytics, UX, CRO, CMS or automation is an advantage

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

• Improve page speed, navigation, product search and filtering with a mobile-first mindset

• Reduce checkout friction and identify where customers get stuck or abandon purchases

• Build and improve review-collection workflows and automated invitations

• Make delivery tracking, returns, FAQs and product information easy to find

• Reduce negative feedback caused by failed orders, unclear information and website errors

• Optimise product pages, recommendations, bundles, cross-sells and abandoned-cart recovery

• Review data, form hypotheses, run tests and validate results

• Maintain a premium, professional and trustworthy brand presentation

• Automate repetitive back-office processes for non-technical colleagues

• Create clear operating documentation so routine work does not depend on one person

• Research new platforms, tools and market practices and turn useful findings into practical proposals

• Work with business, product, marketing and technical stakeholders to prioritise improvements
