TM Events & Promotions

TM Events & Promotions is looking for a reliable, organized, and hands-on Wedding & Event Assistant to join our team on a part-time, event-by-event basis.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys weddings and events, is comfortable jumping in wherever needed, and can handle a fast-paced environment with a positive, “get it done” attitude. You’ll work alongside our lead coordinators and assist with the behind-the-scenes tasks that help a wedding day run smoothly.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Assisting with wedding setup and teardown
• Helping with ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, and event logistics
• Setting up décor, signage, tables, chairs, guest books, welcome tables, etc.
• Moving and organizing wedding décor and supplies
• Assisting with deliveries, pickups, and drop-offs when required
• Helping load and unload vehicles
• Setting up and packing down event equipment and supplies
• Assisting the lead wedding coordinator with tasks throughout the wedding day
• Helping ensure timelines and event details are being followed
• Running small errands or completing last-minute tasks as needed
• Keeping event spaces organized, tidy, and presentable
• Assisting with anything else that may come up to help the event run smoothly

What We’re Looking For

• Reliable and punctual — this is extremely important
• Organized and detail-oriented
• Comfortable working on your feet and doing physical tasks
• Able to lift and carry event décor, boxes, supplies, etc.
• Calm and adaptable in busy environments
• Comfortable taking direction and working independently when needed
• Friendly, professional, and comfortable interacting with clients and wedding guests
• A team player with a positive attitude
• Previous wedding, event, hospitality, serving, or customer-service experience is an asset, but not required

Schedule & Availability

This is a part-time, casual/event-based position, with shifts primarily on evenings and weekends.

Wedding dates and hours vary, and there may also be opportunities to assist with corporate events, promotional events, and other TM Events & Promotions bookings.

Availability for weekends is important, particularly during wedding season. Shifts can range from a few hours for setup/teardown to full wedding-day shifts.

There may also be opportunities for additional work between events, including pickups, deliveries, organizing supplies, and other event-related tasks.

Requirements

• Must have reliable transportation to and from event locations
• Valid driver’s licence is an asset, particularly for pickup/drop-off responsibilities
• Must be comfortable travelling to different event venues
• Must be able to lift and carry event supplies
• Must have a professional and reliable approach to work
