Wedding Events Manager

Pearl Catering is seeking an experienced Wedding Events Manager to join our team in Sydney, NSW. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional wedding experiences for our clients. As Wedding Events Manager, you will oversee the complete planning, coordination and execution of wedding events, ensuring every celebration exceeds expectations. This role is integral to our reputation as a leading catering and events company, directly impacting client satisfaction and business growth.

What you'll be doing

• Managing the full lifecycle of wedding events, from initial client consultation through to post-event follow-up
• Coordinating with clients to understand their vision, preferences and requirements, translating these into detailed event plans
• Liaising with internal teams including catering, kitchen, bar and service staff to ensure seamless event execution
• Preparing detailed event briefs, timelines and logistics documents for all stakeholders
• Managing budgets, quotes and invoicing for assigned weddings
• Conducting site visits and venue walkthroughs to assess logistics and plan setup requirements
• Overseeing menu planning and tastings with clients, working closely with our culinary team
• Managing vendor relationships and coordinating with external suppliers including florists, musicians and photographers
• Monitoring staffing requirements and ensuring adequate training and briefing of service teams
• Troubleshooting issues and managing unexpected challenges on the day of events
• Maintaining detailed records and documentation for each event
• Contributing to continuous improvement by gathering client feedback and identifying service enhancements

What we're looking for

• 2+ years' experience in wedding or events management
• Proven track record of successfully managing multiple events simultaneously
• Exceptional organisational and project management skills with meticulous attention to detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to build relationships with clients and staff
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure
• Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office applications
• Knowledge of catering operations, food service standards and health and safety compliance
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required for events
• A passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences
• Leadership qualities and the ability to motivate and coordinate diverse teams
• Preferred: Experience with wedding-specific requirements including ceremony coordination, reception timeline management and vendor coordination
