Weekend Barista (1 Shift + On-Call Flex)

☕ About the Role

We’re looking for a Weekend Barista to join our team across multiple Commonwealth locations. This is a flexible, part-time role designed for someone who wants consistent weekend work without committing their entire weekend.

You’ll work one guaranteed shift per weekend (either Saturday or Sunday), plus serve as on-call support for additional weekend shifts when needed.

* Schedule & Availability

• 1 guaranteed shift per week
• (either every Saturdays or every Sundays, consistent schedule)
• 2 on-call shifts per month (on the alternate weekend day you are not regularly scheduled)
• On-call shift details:
• Typical shift: 8**:00 AM – 1PM (Weston's location downtown)**
• You will be notified by 8:30 AM if you are needed in-store when ON CALL.
• If not activated, you have the day off
• Shift flexibility:
• Ability to swap shifts with teammates when needed or pick up shifts
• Opportunity to occasionally have a full weekend off
• This role is mainly for our WESTON's coffeeshop, occasionally other locations.
• You may be scheduled at different Commonwealth stores depending on need

* Responsibilities

• Prepare espresso drinks, coffee, and specialty beverages to Commonwealth standards
• Deliver warm, efficient, and engaging customer service
• Maintain a clean, organized, and stocked bar area
• Support team members during peak service times
• Adapt quickly to different store layouts and workflows
• Follow all food safety and operational procedures

* Requirements

• Barista or food service experience preferred (training provided for the right candidate)
• Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and fast-paced shifts
• Strong communication and reliability
• Comfortable working at multiple locations
• Must be responsive for on-call communication

* Compensation & Benefits

• $16–$20/hour (including tips)
