What they need

Saturday & Sunday Teaching Opportunities

Bella Ballet & Empower by Bella Ballet | Part-Time | $25–$45/hour | Paid Training

Weekend Availability — Please Review Before Applying

We are actively hiring faculty who can make a consistent weekend commitment throughout our September–June season.

Saturday: 8:30 AM–4:00 PMSunday: 8:30 AM–3:00 PM

Candidates may be considered for Saturday, Sunday, or both days based on experience, teaching strengths, and studio needs.

Please apply only if you can reliably maintain your selected weekend availability throughout the season.

Can You Teach the Dancer, Not Just the Dance?

Bella Ballet and Empower by Bella Ballet are seeking engaging, dependable, and technically strong dance educators to join our weekend faculty.

We teach dancers from their very first introduction to movement through their pre-teen and teen years. That means we're looking for different strengths—not one generic type of dance teacher.

Some of our faculty shine with a room full of little dancers, bringing ballet to life through imagination, storytelling, warmth, and energy.

Others thrive teaching older dancers, breaking down technique, giving meaningful corrections, creating choreography, and challenging students to reach their next level.

And some can do both.

What all of our faculty share is the ability to connect, teach with intention, and create an environment where dancers are challenged while building confidence.

Where Could You Fit?Bella Ballet | Young Dancers

Our Bella Ballet faculty work primarily with young children and combine dance education with imagination, creativity, and confidence-building.

We are looking for instructors who have:

  • A strong dance foundation, particularly in ballet
  • Extraordinary warmth and patience with young children
  • An animated, polished, and professional presence
  • Comfort with storytelling, imagination, and performance
  • Positive and effective classroom management
  • Willingness to learn and consistently execute the Bella Ballet curriculum
  • Reliability, energy, and enthusiasm

Teaching experience is preferred but not always required for an exceptional dancer or performer who demonstrates strong potential, professionalism, and an incredible ability to connect with children.

Empower by Bella Ballet | Pre-Teen & Teen Dancers

Our Empower faculty provide technically focused dance education while intentionally developing confident and empowered young people.

We are especially seeking expertise in:

Ballet Jazz Hip-Hop Tap

Strong Empower candidates demonstrate:

  • Technical strength in one or more dance disciplines
  • Experience working with pre-teen and/or teen dancers
  • Confident classroom management
  • Ability to teach progressive technique—not simply combinations
  • Strong musicality and attention to detail
  • Ability to provide clear, actionable corrections
  • Choreography experience
  • A professional and engaging teaching presence

You do not need to teach every style. We value true expertise in one or two disciplines over simply checking every box.

More Than Dance Classes

Bella Ballet and Empower are built on the belief that excellent dance education and personal empowerment belong together.

Our faculty teach technique, artistry, musicality, discipline, and performance while intentionally reinforcing confidence, leadership, resilience, kindness, inclusivity, positive body image, and respect.

We hold dancers to high standards without sacrificing their confidence or individuality.

Whether you're helping a 4-year-old confidently try a brand-new ballet step or helping a 13-year-old finally understand a technical correction, how you make that dancer feel while helping them grow matters.

What You Can Expect

Depending on your role, age group, and specialty, responsibilities may include:

  • Leading or co-teaching structured dance classes
  • Teaching progressive, age-appropriate technique
  • Creating an engaging and well-managed classroom
  • Providing meaningful corrections and encouragement
  • Adapting instruction for different abilities and learning styles
  • Choreographing recital and performance pieces
  • Collaborating with your teaching partner, faculty, and leadership
  • Participating in paid training and ongoing faculty development
  • Communicating consistently and professionally
  • Helping maintain an organized and welcoming studio environment

Compensation & Faculty Support

$25–$45/hour based on position, experience, technical background, and teaching responsibilities.

  • Co-Teachers: typically $25–$30/hour
  • Lead Teachers: typically $35–$45/hour
  • Paid training
  • Established curriculum and educational resources
  • Faculty mentorship and development
  • Administrative support
  • Opportunities for expanded teaching and leadership responsibilities

Before You Apply

We're looking for faculty who understand that reliability is part of being a great teacher.

Our dancers build relationships with their teachers and depend on seeing the same committed faculty each week. Weekend availability should represent a recurring commitment you can realistically maintain throughout the September–June season.

If you're an educator or performer who wants to help develop dancers technically, artistically, and personally, we'd love to learn more about you.

To Apply

Please submit your résumé and application, including:

  • Saturday availability: Yes / No
  • Sunday availability: Yes / No
  • Exact hours you can consistently commit to each available day
  • Primary dance styles and areas of expertise
  • Ages and levels you have experience teaching
  • Whether you're most interested in Bella Ballet, Empower, or both
  • A brief response to:

What do you hope a dancer remembers about having you as their teacher?
