Weekend Dispatcher

Summary:
The Weekend Dispatcher is responsible for managing and monitoring transportation operations during weekends. This role ensures timely communication between drivers, customers, and company staff to maintain efficient and safe transport of goods during weekends. The schedule for this position is Sat-Sun 0800-2030.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and track all active loads and trucks during weekends.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers, customers, and vendors during the weekend.
• Dispatch and coordinate drivers to pick-ups, deliveries, or service calls as needed.
• Respond to emergencies, delays, or route changes, escalating critical issues to management when necessary.
• Communicate with customers regarding shipment status, ETAs, and any service disruptions.
• Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company safety policies.
• Maintain clear and accurate logs of all communications and incidents handled during the shift.

Qualifications:

• Experience in transportation, logistics, or dispatching (2 years minimum).
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills, especially under pressure.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during weekend shifts.
• Proficiency with dispatch software, Samsara, and Microsoft Office/Google Workspace.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and trucking industry practices.
• Load Board knowledge, specifically DAT One.
• Computer basic knowledge
• Bilingual
• Minimum 2 years experience contracting loads through load boards.

Pay: $16.00 per hour
