Weekend First/Second Shift Caregiver/ CNA

Join our dedicated team as a 1st/ 2nd Shift Caregiver / CNA and make a meaningful difference in the lives of residents in a memory care setting. As a weekend warrior your shift will run Fri-Sun 6am-6pm. This energetic role is perfect for compassionate individuals who thrive on providing personalized care and creating a warm, supportive environment. You will be responsible for assisting residents with daily activities, ensuring their safety, and promoting their well-being during evening hours. Responsibilities

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using tools like Hoyer lifts when necessary
• Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to track residents’ health status
• Administer medications accurately following prescribed protocols and document all medication activities
• Provide specialized care for residents with dementia or Alzheimer’s disease, implementing memory care strategies and behavior management techniques
• Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties and adhering to infection control standards
• Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive resident care and report any changes or concerns promptly

Skills

• Proven experience in long-term care facilities such as nursing homes, retirement homes, or personal care homes
• Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities in general
• Strong understanding of vital signs monitoring, medication administration, and emergency response procedures including first aid certification
• Skilled in assisting with ADLs, personal care routines, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts
• Excellent communication skills for working with residents’ families and team members
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
