Weekend Host

Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and personable Weekend Host to create a welcoming and lively atmosphere for our guests during weekend hours. As a key ambassador of our establishment, you will be responsible for greeting guests, managing reservations, and ensuring exceptional guest experiences. Your enthusiasm and excellent communication skills will help foster a positive environment that encourages repeat visits and memorable moments. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your hospitality talents while working in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing friendly and professional service to set a positive tone for their visit
• Manage guest reservations, walk-ins, and seating arrangements efficiently to optimize flow and minimize wait times
• Take take out orders accurately and relay them promptly to kitchen staff using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Assist guests with menu selections, answer questions about food and beverages, and provide recommendations when needed
• Handle guest inquiries via phone with courteous phone etiquette, ensuring clear communication and prompt assistance
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand area, ensuring a welcoming environment at all times
• Collaborate with team members to deliver seamless guest services and uphold high standards of hospitality
• As servers will tip out a percentage of their sales you will need to help with bussing tables and/or running food. Assist them as needed and within reason.

Requirements

• Previous host or hostess experience in a food service or restaurant setting is preferred
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively
• Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
• Knowledge of restaurant operations, guest relations, and hospitality best practices
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
• Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse guests
• Previous experience in hotel or guest services is a plus but not required
• Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed
