Weekend Host Needed

Overview

We are seeking an energetic and personable Weekend Host to join our team. In this role, you will be the welcoming face of Folklore, creating an inviting atmosphere for all guests. Your enthusiasm and excellent communication skills will ensure every visitor feels valued and attended to from the moment they arrive. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about hospitality, guest relations, and delivering exceptional service during weekend hours.

We are also a record store therefore you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and retail sales for this as well.

Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing friendly and professional customer service at all times
• Manage restaurant reservations efficiently using Toast and Square.
• Coordinate seating arrangements to optimize table turnover while maintaining guest comfort
• Answer incoming phone calls with proper phone etiquette, assisting with reservations, inquiries, and guest requests
• Maintain organized reservation logs and ensure accurate record-keeping for all guest interactions
• Support food service staff by managing guest flow and ensuring timely seating and service delivery, keeping the tables clean. Delivering food and drinks when necessary.
• Knowledge of wine service is a plus.
• Uphold food safety standards and cleanliness protocols to provide a safe dining environment for all guests
• Record and record store cleaning and maintainance.

Qualifications

• Previous host/hostess experience in a restaurant or food service setting preferred
• Strong communication skills with the ability to handle phone conversations professionally
• Excellent organizational skills to manage reservations, seating charts, and guest information efficiently
• Basic math skills for handling reservations, waitlists, and billing procedures
• Knowledge of food safety standards and hospitality best practices
• Ability to work weekends consistently, demonstrating flexibility and reliability in scheduling
• Positive attitude with a passion for delivering outstanding guest services and building guest relations.
• A passion for music is greatly appreciated.

Pay: $20.00 - $21.17 per hour
