Responsibilities

• Prepare and set up breakfast buffet stations, ensuring all food items are fresh, appealing, and properly presented
• Serve guests with warmth and professionalism, assisting with food selections and answering questions about menu items
• Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, counters, equipment, and food stations in accordance with food safety sanitizing procedures
• Handle food safely by following proper food handling practices and adhering to health regulations
• Operate kitchen equipment such as toasters, coffee machines, warmers, and other small appliances efficiently and safely
• Process cash transactions accurately using POS (Point of Sale) systems while providing excellent in-person customer service
• Assist with food preparation tasks including basic cooking, portioning, and replenishing buffet items as needed
• Follow manual handling guidelines when lifting or moving supplies and food items to prevent injury
• Support the cleaning schedule by sanitizing work surfaces, utensils, and equipment regularly throughout shifts
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service flow during busy breakfast hours

Experience

• Previous experience in fine dining or food service environments is highly desirable
• Knowledge of food safety management and sanitizing procedures is preferred
• Experience operating kitchen equipment and serving in a hospitality or restaurant setting will be advantageous
• Familiarity with POS systems for processing transactions enhances efficiency in this role
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests in person
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately
• Understanding of wine knowledge is a plus but not required; enthusiasm for hospitality and food presentation is essential
