Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and public areas using appropriate cleaning techniques and equipment
• Handle various cleaning agents safely, adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) and chemical handling protocols
• Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop floors, and maintain floor care standards to ensure a pristine appearance
• Manage janitorial tasks such as trash removal, replenishing supplies, and sanitizing high-touch surfaces for optimal sanitation
• Operate cleaning equipment efficiently while ensuring safety procedures are followed during manual handling and heavy lifting tasks
• Respond promptly to guest requests or concerns related to housekeeping needs with excellent customer service skills
• Follow hotel emergency procedures and safety guidelines to maintain a secure environment for guests and staff

Requirements

• Previous experience in hotel housekeeping or custodial roles is highly preferred, demonstrating familiarity with hotel housekeeping management practices
• Knowledge of floor cleaning, sanitation standards, and the use of cleaning equipment is essential
• Ability to handle chemical agents safely while maintaining awareness of safety data sheets (SDS) and chemical handling procedures
• Physical stamina for heavy lifting, manual handling, and prolonged periods of standing or walking are required
• Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude towards guest interactions
• Understanding of hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment
• Hospitality experience is advantageous but not mandatory; a proactive attitude and eagerness to learn are valued highly
