Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces using appropriate cleaning techniques and equipment
• Handle various cleaning agents safely, adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) and chemical handling protocols
• Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop floors, and ensure all surfaces are sanitized to meet sanitation standards
• Use janitorial equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, and steam cleaners to maintain floor care excellence
• Assist with heavy lifting tasks related to moving furniture or cleaning supplies while following manual handling safety procedures
• Follow hotel emergency procedures and safety guidelines to ensure a secure environment for staff and guests
• Maintain cleanliness logs, report maintenance issues promptly, and ensure all cleaning supplies are stored securely and correctly

Requirements

• Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or custodial roles, with knowledge of industrial cleaning practices preferred
• Familiarity with cleaning equipment, chemical agents, and floor care techniques necessary for high-quality sanitation
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking during shifts
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards guests and team members
• Knowledge of hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment
• Ability to work effectively on weekends, demonstrating flexibility and reliability in scheduling
• Previous experience with hotel housekeeping management or janitorial experience is advantageous but not mandatory

Pay: $10.50 - $21.00 per hour
