Weekend Japanese food sampling staff

Overview
Oishii Demo LLC is looking for friendly and reliable Weekend Japanese Food Demo Staff to introduce Japanese food and beverage products to customers at Asian grocery stores.

Most demos are held on Saturdays and Sundays. Paid training is provided. Previous demo experience is not required.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain a clean sampling table
• Offer samples and introduce products to customers
• Explain product flavors and basic information
• Encourage customers to try and purchase featured products
• Follow food safety and store rules
• Keep track of samples and products used
• Complete a simple demo report and required photos
• Keep the demo area clean and organized

Qualifications

• Friendly and comfortable talking with customers
• Reliable, responsible, and able to follow instructions
• Punctuality is very important. Must arrive on time and be ready to work as scheduled
• Professional appearance and attitude
• Weekend availability
• Able to stand for several hours
• Food service, retail, or customer service experience is a plus, but not required
• Interest in Japanese food and culture is a plus
• Japanese language ability is a plus, but not required

About Oishii Demo
Our goal is not only to offer samples, but also to educate customers about Japanese products and create a positive shopping experience.

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 7.0 – 14.0 per week
