Weekend Laundry Attendant

Candlewood Suites Peoria at Grand Prairie is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and detail-oriented WEEKEND Laundry Attendant to join our housekeeping team!

Our laundry department plays an important role in keeping our hotel running smoothly and ensuring our guests have clean, fresh linens throughout their stay. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, stays organized, and can maintain a productive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Wash, dry, fold, and organize hotel linens, including sheets, towels, pillowcases, and other laundry items.
• Sort laundry according to fabric type, color, and washing requirements.
• Operate commercial washers and dryers safely and efficiently.
• Ensure linens are properly cleaned, dried, folded, and stored according to hotel standards.
• Inspect linens for stains, damage, or excessive wear and remove unsuitable items from circulation.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized laundry room.
• Keep laundry supplies stocked and notify management when inventory is running low.
• Follow proper procedures for handling laundry chemicals and cleaning products.
• Maintain a steady workflow to ensure clean linens are available for housekeeping staff.
• Assist with linen inventory and organization as needed.
• Communicate equipment problems or maintenance concerns to management.
• Assist the housekeeping department with additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous hotel laundry or housekeeping experience preferred but not required.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work scheduled shifts consistently.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
• Ability to bend, lift, push, and pull laundry carts as needed.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
