Weekend PM Line Cook

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with experience in various kitchen environments. As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality meals while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.

Duties

• Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
• Assist in menu planning and development to enhance the dining experience
• Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner, meeting service deadlines
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations
• Adhere to food safety protocols, including proper food handling and storage practices
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service
• Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting shortages as needed
• Participate in catering events as required, ensuring high-quality meal presentation

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Line Cook or in a similar role within the food industry
• Strong culinary skills with an emphasis on fine dining experience preferred
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for food handling
• Excellent knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is a plus
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends if necessary
