Weekend Pool Co-ordinator

Pool Coordinator / Receptionist – The Gardens Pool, SE1 5JT

We are looking for a well‑organised, self‑disciplined individual to support the coordination of swimming lessons at The Gardens Pool. This varied, front‑of‑house role suits someone who can multitask confidently and communicate warmly and professionally with parents and children. The position is part‑time, self‑employed, with weekend availability essential. Hours available:

• Saturdays: 8.30am – 2.30pm
• Sundays: 8.30am – 5.30pm (can be split into 8.30am – 1.00pm and 1.00pm – 5.30pm) (Term time: approximately 40 weeks per year, with additional weeks negotiable) Please only apply if you can commit to weekend work.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

This is a reception‑based role and includes:

• Opening and locking up the venue; setting up at the start of each session and packing away afterwards
• Meeting and greeting parents, managing entry into the building
• Taking and maintaining accurate registers
• Preparing and organising items for new starters at the beginning of each term
• Ensuring a smooth flow of families in and out of the pool so lessons run on time
• Working closely with teachers to ensure parents understand where to go and what to do
• Showing new parents the changing areas and explaining processes
• Answering parent queries confidently and professionally
• Mopping changing rooms and communal areas between lessons to keep them tidy and hazard‑free
• Following company risk assessments at all times
• Taking and logging pool readings
• Setting up pop‑up tents and signage at the start of the session and packing away afterwards
• Preparing starter items such as nappies for new families

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From £12.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
