Weekend Sales & Distillery Assistant

Contract: Temporary, throughout the Christmas period with potential for ongoing work

Hours: 4 days a week, Thursday to Sunday, with extra shifts available leading up to Christmas. Start and finish times are flexible depending on what's on - e.g. roughly 11am –8pm in the distillery on some Saturdays, or 7am–5pm at a market on others

Salary: National living wage

Must be over 18 years old.

About Us

At 820 Spirits we're a small, passionate team crafting exceptional spirits with care. As the festive season approaches, we're looking for an enthusiastic, approachable person to join us in a customer-focused role, helping with sales, distillery experiences, markets and events.

The Role

• Welcome visitors and assist during distillery tours, tastings, and experiences
• Sell products and provide friendly, knowledgeable customer service
• Support spirits school sessions and cocktail classes
• Help with bottling, packaging and stock
• Support the team at markets and events as needed - including early starts (e.g. roughly 7am–5pm at a market) alongside distillery shifts (e.g. approx 11am–8pm Saturdays, 11am - 4pm Sundays)
• Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the distillery, ensuring it's always presentable for visitors
• Work independently when required

Please note: this role involves heavy lifting and the ability to work unsupervised at times.

• Approachable, friendly, and confident with customers
• Reliable and self-motivated, able to work independently
• Physically capable of handling heavy lifting
• Attentive to detail, especially regarding presentation and safety
• Flexible and happy to help across different areas, including weekends and evenings around markets and events
• Excited to be part of a small, hands-on team
• Experience in sales, hospitality, or events is helpful but not essential - full training will be provided
• Able to travel to off-site markets and events
