Weekend School bus Charter Driver

Overview

We are seeking a reliable and responsible Weekend School Bus Charter Driver to join our team. This role involves transporting sporting teams to their events, ensuring safe and timely travel for all passengers. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage transportation logistics effectively on weekends.

Duties

• Safely operate a school bus or charter vehicle to transport sporting teams to various events on weekends.
• Ensure all passengers are seated and adhere to safety protocols during transit.
• Plan and follow designated routes, adjusting as necessary for traffic or weather conditions.
• Assist with boarding and disembarking passengers, providing excellent customer service.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in proper working condition.
• Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage, and any incidents that occur during transportation.
• Comply with all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies at all times.
• Communicate effectively with team coordinators or event organizers regarding schedules and any changes.

Skills

• Valid driver’s license appropriate for operating a school or commercial vehicle.
• Proven experience driving buses or large vehicles preferred.
• Strong knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations related to commercial driving.
• Excellent time management skills and punctuality for weekend schedules.
• Good communication skills and a professional demeanor.
• Ability to handle unexpected situations calmly and efficiently.
• Dependability and a strong sense of responsibility for passenger safety.

Pay: $24.00 - $26.50 per hour
