Love plants, enjoy working with people and have the confidence to lead a team? We’re looking for a reliable, motivated and hands-on Retail Nursery Weekend Team Leader to join our team!

This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys taking ownership, keeping a busy nursery running smoothly and helping customers find the right plants for their gardens.

About the Role

You’ll be responsible for coordinating the day-to-day running of the nursery when rostered as the senior person on duty, including independently managing weekend operations with support from the business owners by phone.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading and supporting staff throughout the day.
• Opening and closing the store and completing daily checklists.
• Delivering friendly, knowledgeable and professional customer service.
• Coordinating daily tasks and ensuring the team stays productive.
• Maintaining excellent plant health, presentation and merchandising standards.
• Assisting with stock control, deliveries and replenishment.
• Operating the POS system and following cash handling procedures.
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe nursery.
• Handling routine customer enquiries and resolving issues professionally.
• Communicating with the owners regarding staffing, operational issues and business priorities.

• Passionate about plants and gardening, or keen to build their horticultural knowledge.

Previous retail, nursery or team leadership experience is highly regarded. A formal horticultural qualification is not essential for this vacancy.

Position: Retail Nursery Team Leader
Employment type: Casual
Location: Echuca
Hours: Weekend availability essential, with additional weekday shifts by agreement.
Pay: Negotiable based on experience and the applicable award classification.
