Weighbridge and Storage Operator

We are currently seeking a dependable and detail‑oriented Weighbridge & Storage Operator to support daily milling and storage operations. This role is key to ensuring accurate weighbridge records, smooth truck movements, and safe handling and storage of product.

Key Responsibilities

• Flexible work schedule with the ability to work multiple locations
• Operate the site weighbridge for all inbound and outbound vehicles
• Accurately record weights, load details, and issue weighbridge dockets
• Sample incoming truck loads in accordance with JK Milling procedures
• Visually assess loads for quality, contamination, and foreign material
• Label, record, and manage samples correctly for testing and traceability
• Verify deliveries and dispatches against paperwork and system records
• Direct truck drivers safely around the site to loading, unloading, and storage areas
• Assist with monitoring storage levels and product movements
• Maintain clear, accurate records in line with company and audit requirements
• Communicate effectively with drivers, operations staff, and management
• Maintain clean, safe, and orderly weighbridge, sampling, and storage areas
• Identify and report discrepancies, quality issues, or safety hazards
• Comply with workplace health, safety, and biosecurity requirements

Skills & Experience

• Experience in grain handling, weighbridge operations, or sampling (preferred)
• Understanding of basic grain quality standards and hygiene practices (advantageous)
• Basic computer and record‑keeping skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and follow procedures
• Forklift or machinery experience (desirable but not essential)
