Weighbridge Operator

C.D. Dodd is the leading provider of demolition, resource recovery and scrap metal recycling services to commercial, industrial and resource customers across Western Australia.

We are seeking a self-motivated Weighbridge Operator to join our team at our processing yard in Forrestfield, Perth. Working hours are Monday-Friday 6:00am – 16.00pm with occasional weekend work if required.

Key Duties:

• Recording weight data and relevant vehicle and load information into the weighbridge system and documentation
• Issue weight dockets and necessary documentation to drivers in a timely and professional manner
• Assist customers with their enquiries and ensure customers receive the highest service standard possible
• Undertake day-to-day administration duties such as data entry and docket processing
• Produce reports from the weighbridge software as required
• Maintain the weighbridge and general area of the weighbridge including the office in a clean, tidy and hazard free condition
• Assist and support the Weighbridge Office Coordinator with any tasks required

• An ability to multi task and at times work under pressure to meet customer requirements
• Must have high skills in attention to detail for accuracy with data entry
• Committed to providing exceptional customer service across all channels- written, phone and face to face
• Seeking a highly organised individual who can effectively manage the demands of a busy role, while bringing a positive, bubbly attitude to the team.
• Confident personality to help build an understanding with both clients and drivers
• Well-developed written and verbal communication skills along with sound computer literacy
• A proven ability to work within a small team environment that work closely together
• Relevant weighbridge and scrap industry experience preferred but not essential, customer service essential. Hands on training will be provided to the successful candidate
• Great can-do attitude with strong work ethic
