The role requires someone who is comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, can follow processes consistently and understands the importance of accuracy when working with ingredients, batch information and production documentation.

Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Accurately weighing and preparing raw materials and ingredients in accordance with approved formulations and production requirements.
  • Operating weighing equipment and scales correctly and safely, ensuring accurate measurements are achieved.
  • Following Standard Operating Procedures, work instructions and quality requirements at all times.
  • Completing all required weighing records, batch information and production documentation accurately and in real time.
  • Ensuring full traceability of ingredients, including correct recording of batch and lot numbers.
  • Checking materials against production requirements and escalating any shortages, discrepancies or concerns immediately.
  • Working closely with Formulations, Quality, Supply Chain and Production to ensure ingredients are prepared in line with the production plan.
  • Ensuring weighing equipment is maintained in a clean and suitable condition and that required calibration checks are completed.
  • Maintaining high standards of hygiene, housekeeping and organisation within the weighing area.
  • Following all site Health & Safety, food-safety, hygiene, allergen and quality procedures.
  • Identifying and escalating any deviation from the approved formulation, material specification or weighing requirement before materials are released into production.
  • Supporting stock control and material management activities within the weighing area where required.
