Welcome Desk Associate

Your Frontline Mission

As a Welcome Desk Associate at the Spring Grove YMCA, you’re the first spark of energy members and guests experience—keeping the front desk running smoothly while protecting a safe, positive environment. This part-time, onsite role (rotating weekdays, evenings, and weekends) pays $10.00–$12.00/hr.

Key responsibilities:

• Greet and check in members/guests; answer questions in person and by phone
• Process payments and maintain accurate records in MS Office and the membership database
• Promote and sell memberships/programs; follow up with prospective members
• Support facility security and respond appropriately to incidents per emergency procedures

Required skills/qualifications:

• Strong customer service, cash-handling, and basic sales experience
• Clear verbal/written communication, multitasking, and time management
• Team-focused problem solving and relationship building
• Adult & Pediatric CPR, First Aid, and AED certification (or ability to maintain)
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred

Between quick conversations and steady foot traffic, you’ll pivot from answering a question to updating a record, then reset your space for the next rush. As the shift changes, you’ll wrap up details cleanly so the next teammate can launch smoothly. Some days are calm; others feel like a sprint—but the pace stays upbeat, and you’ll leave knowing you helped the building run sharp and welcoming from open to close.
