Pay Rate: $38-42/hr on W2

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Weld Engineer with expertise in pressure vessel design, welding engineering, and ASME code requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience reviewing engineering drawings, participating in design reviews, validating engineering calculations, and supporting testing and quality activities related to pressure-containing equipment.

The candidate should have a strong understanding of welding processes, pressure vessel fabrication, engineering specifications, and applicable industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Support pressure vessel design and welding engineering activities.
• Ensure designs and engineering activities comply with applicable ASME codes and industry standards.
• Participate in engineering design reviews and provide technical feedback.
• Review engineering drawings, welding details, and technical specifications.
• Perform or validate engineering calculations and analyses related to pressure-containing equipment.
• Support welding procedures, fabrication processes, and engineering documentation.
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing, quality, and testing teams to resolve technical issues.
• Assist with testing, inspection, validation, and quality assurance activities.
• Identify design or manufacturing concerns and recommend appropriate engineering solutions.
• Ensure compliance with applicable engineering standards, safety requirements, and quality procedures.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Welding Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• Relevant professional experience in welding engineering.
• Strong knowledge of pressure vessel design, fabrication, and applicable ASME codes is highly preferred.
• Experience with engineering calculations, drawing reviews, welding procedures, and quality activities.
