Land Pride, a division of Great Plains Manufacturing, is seeking a

• 1stShift Welder**for our facility in Lucas, KS

This position works Monday through Thursday, from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

with overtime on Fridays as required.

• Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:
• Load fixtures and weld parts as required
• Safely use all tools necessary for the position
• Maintain inventory accuracy at all times
• Read blueprints and utilize AWS weld symbols as required for the

position

• Consistently achieve quality welds while staying on production

schedule

• Other duties may be assigned that require other qualifications,

physical demands, and/or work environment.

Preferred Skills And Qualifications

• MIG welding experience and ability to pass weld test, as required.
• Ability to give strong attention to detail and stay on-task in a

fast-paced environment

• Have a good understanding of team concepts and be a strong team

player

• Ability to read blueprints and recognize AWS weld symbols
• Ability to safely use hand and power tools and welding equipment
• Capable of embracing a culture of Lean Manufacturing and willing to

accept/implement change

• Ability to follow all Great Plains and OSHA safety regulations and

wear prescribed safety and protective equipment
