Welder Apprentice

Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Welder Apprentice to join our manufacturing team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with welding tasks using MIG and TIG welding techniques under supervision
• Support the setup and operation of machinery such as press brake machines, plasma cutters, and power tools
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to aid in fabrication projects
• Learn to perform rigging, assembly, and basic machining operations
• Use hand tools, calipers, and other measuring instruments to ensure precision in fabrication work
• Support the handling of ductwork, structural components, and other materials for construction or manufacturing projects
• Assist with the use of cranes and forklifts for material movement and positioning
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols and procedures
• Participate in training sessions to develop skills in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and basic math applications related to fabrication tasks

Experience

• Prior welding experience required
• Basic mechanical knowledge or construction experience is a plus
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, calipers, and schematics is advantageous
• Prior experience with crane operation, forklift driving, or machining is beneficial but not mandatory
• Strong willingness to learn new skills related to welding, fabrication, and manufacturing processes
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and work safely in an industrial setting

Pay: $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week
