About the role

We are seeking an experienced Welder to join our construction team . This is a full-time position based in Semenyih, Selangor, where you will play a critical role in ensuring the structural integrity and quality of our construction projects. As a Welder, you will be responsible for joining metal components using various welding techniques, contributing directly to the successful completion of our construction initiatives. Your expertise and attention to detail will be essential to maintaining our high standards of workmanship and safety on site.

Key responsibilities

• Execute welding operations using appropriate techniques including MIG, TIG, stick, and flux-cored arc welding methods
• Inspect metal components and structures to ensure proper fit and alignment before and after welding
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding specifications to determine welding requirements
• Prepare metal surfaces through grinding, cleaning, and other surface preparation methods to ensure quality welds
• Maintain welding equipment and perform routine maintenance to ensure optimal functionality
• Conduct quality control checks on completed welds, identifying defects and making necessary corrections
• Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations on construction sites
• Collaborate with other trades and supervisory staff to ensure coordinated project progress
• Document welding activities and maintain accurate records of work completed

What we're looking for

• Valid welding certification or qualification recognised by relevant construction industry bodies
• Proven experience as a Welder in construction projects, with a track record of quality work
• Proficiency in multiple welding techniques, including both manual and semi-automatic processes
• Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and fine motor control for precision welding work
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment
• Physical fitness and ability to work in various weather conditions and challenging positions
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality and craftsmanship
• Ability to work independently whilst collaborating effectively within a team environment
• Communication skills and willingness to follow supervisor guidance and site protocols
