Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
• Set up welding equipment and select proper materials
• Perform welding using techniques such as MIG, TIG, Stick, or Arc welding
• Inspect welded surfaces for quality and structural integrity
• Repair and maintain metal structures, equipment, and machinery
• Follow safety standards and procedures at all times
• Measure, cut, and shape metal pieces before welding
• Clean and prepare surfaces for welding

Skills and Qualifications

• Proficiency in different welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Arc, etc.)
• Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints
• Strong attention to detail and hand-eye coordination
• Knowledge of safety practices and use of protective equipment
• Physical strength and stamina (often requires lifting and standing for long periods)
• Basic math and measurement skills
• Certification from recognized institutions
