Welder

The Welder is primarily responsible for reading, interpreting and executing routing, e-drawings, blueprint

weld procedures, and process control/quality documents to TIG and MIG weld mild steel, stainless steel

and aluminum per job specifications.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Accurately punch in-and-out of work orders and record times and materials.
• Read and interpret blueprints.
• Source the materials used in projects.
• Weld materials using the correct materials to join the metals together.
• Review finished work to ensure that it falls within the tolerances marked on the blueprints.
• Maintain knowledge of various mechanical and manual welding techniques, including TIG/MIG.
• Perform other general sheet metal operations when needed, including drill and tap, hardware

installation, parts separation and extrusion.

• Review dimensional characteristics and finish requirements of parts and assemblies to the

requirements of the prints and quality standards.

• Conduct visual weld inspections to ensure adherence to all routing specifications and high quality.
• Collaborate with employees, operations, engineering and sales team to solve problems and

recommend plans of improvement.

• Maintain a neat, orderly and safe work environment.
• Operate forklift and hand truck as needed.
• Read and interpret 2D drawings and 3D model finish symbols for welding, grinding and all related

production.

• Utilize fixtures and necessary tools to successfully complete weldments.
• Utilize inspection tools to measure parts to customer specifications.
• Follow standard AWS welding safety procedures.
• Follow ISO procedures and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Regular, reliable on-site attendance is required.
• Perform other work-related duties as assigned by management.
