WELDER

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Carry out production according to the production plan and daily work assignments, ensuring assigned tasks are completed on time and to the required quality standards.
• Prepare the required welding documents according to daily work assignments and carry out production in accordance with SOPs. Record completed production activities and update job status in the company's production system as required.
• Set and adjust welding parameters according to SOP requirements.
• Understand product quality requirements and perform self-inspection according to the production inspection checklist.
• Carry out rework and repair of defective or non-conforming parts as required.
• Follow up on assigned production tasks and provide suggestions for product or process improvement when appropriate.
• Maintain workplace cleanliness and follow 5S requirements, including sorting, organising and cleaning. Ensure tools, materials and products are properly identified and placed in designated areas.
• Perform other production-related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• At least 3 years of relevant working experience in welding is preferred, with experience in sheet metal fabrication or manufacturing being an advantage.
• Relevant welding certification or competency certificate is preferred.
• Hands-on experience in both MIG/MAG (GMAW) and TIG (GTAW) welding.
• Experience in spot welding and laser welding.
• Able to read and interpret 2D and 3D engineering drawings.
• Able to operate welding equipment safely and in accordance with standard operating procedures.
• Able to perform basic maintenance and care of welding equipment.
• Able to set and adjust welding parameters according to SOP requirements.
• Able to perform simple and complex part fabrication, including the use of jigs and fixtures.
• Able to identify common sheet metal materials and welding gases.
• Proficient in the use of hand tools and measuring instruments.
• Able to understand and identify product welding quality requirements.
• Experience in automatic stud welding operation or programming is an advantage; training will be provided.
• Willing to learn and use the company's internal system for production records and reporting. Training will be provided.
• Ability to communicate in Chinese is an added advantage.

Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM3,800.00 per month
