Welder

Key responsibilities

• Operate welding equipment including MIG, TIG, and manual arc welding machines to join metal components according to specifications and technical drawings
• Prepare work pieces for welding by cleaning, aligning, and positioning materials using appropriate tools and fixtures
• Read and interpret welding plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure accurate execution of welding work
• Inspect completed welds to verify they meet quality standards, dimensional tolerances, and client specifications
• Maintain welding equipment through regular cleaning, maintenance, and reporting of any defects or malfunctions
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe working practices
• Collaborate with other team members and supervisors to ensure timely completion of projects and maintain workflow efficiency
• Document welding activities and maintain accurate records of work completed

Requirement :

• A formal qualification or certification in welding from a recognised training institution.
• Proven experience working as a Welder in a manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial setting, ideally 2+ years
• Proficiency in multiple welding techniques, including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), and manual arc welding
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding specifications accurately
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality welds that meet stringent standards
