MIG Welder

Responsible for performing MIG welding operations to fabricate and assemble metal parts and components according to engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding on various metal parts and components.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, welding symbols, and specifications.
• Set up and operate MIG welding machines and related tools/equipment.
• Select the appropriate welding wire, gas, voltage, amperage, and welding technique based on the material and job requirements.
• Measure, align, fit, and position materials prior to welding.
• Inspect welded parts for proper size, alignment, strength, and appearance.
• Ensure welds meet company quality standards and specifications.
• Perform grinding, cleaning, and other finishing work when necessary.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper condition of welding tools and equipment.
• Follow safety procedures, PPE requirements, and workplace regulations.
• Report defective materials, equipment problems, or quality issues to the immediate supervisor.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in MIG welding or a related position.
• Can read and interpret engineering drawings and welding symbols.
• Knowledgeable in MIG welding techniques and equipment.
• Can perform basic measurement using tools such as tape measure, caliper, and angle gauge.
• Physically fit and capable of performing welding and fabrication work.
• Willing to work overtime and on weekends/holidays when required.
• NC II in Welding is an advantage.
• Willing to work in a manufacturing environment.
