Welder

We are looking for a welder with good general carpentry skills to join a project in Whanganui starting in early November.

The first month will mainly involve welding door and window frames into place, using a pin and plug weld system. A small MIG or stick welder will be suitable. You will need your own MIG, or a stick welder can be provided.

Once the welding work is completed, the role will move into general carpentry and construction work, so someone who is practical and happy to turn their hand to different tasks would be ideal.

What we're looking for:

• Welding experience, ideally with MIG
• General carpentry/construction experience
• Comfortable working on a busy building site
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Good attitude and reliable work ethic
• Own transport
• Relevant site experience preferred

The details:

• Location: Whanganui
• Pay: $35+ per hour
• Hours: 8-10 hour days
• Start: Early November
• Duration: Approx. 3 months, depending on project progress
