Responsibilities

• Perform welding operations using techniques such as TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) and Stick welding to join metal parts securely.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and effectively during fabrication and assembly processes.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate fabrication of sheet metal and other components.
• Prepare materials by cutting, grinding, and cleaning surfaces to ensure optimal weld quality.
• Conduct inspections of completed welds for quality, strength, and compliance with safety standards.
• Assist in the assembly of fabricated parts into larger structures or systems as required.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.

Skills

• Proficiency in TIG welding, Stick welding, and other welding techniques with a strong focus on quality results.
• Experience working with hand tools, power tools, and sheet metal fabrication equipment.
• Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues and perform basic maintenance.
• Ability to read technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics accurately.
• Strong understanding of safety procedures related to welding and fabrication environments.
• Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and material estimations.
• Familiarity with assembly processes and the use of various mechanical fasteners.
