About the Opportunity

Pilgrimage Search is partnering with a growing custom metal fabrication company in the Streetsboro, Ohio area to identify a skilled Welder. This role is ideal for an experienced welder who takes pride in producing high-quality welds and delivering finished products that meet exact specifications.

The successful candidate will have experience welding steel, stainless steel, and aluminum while maintaining a strong focus on quality, safety, and productivity.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret welding symbols, blueprints, and shop drawings
• Perform MIG, TIG, and Stick welding on a variety of materials
• Set up welding equipment and select proper welding parameters
• Weld fabricated components according to project specifications
• Inspect welds for penetration, appearance, and structural integrity
• Repair and rework welds as needed to meet quality standards
• Operate grinders and finishing tools to prepare completed welds
• Work closely with fabrication personnel to ensure production goals are achieved
• Follow all OSHA and company safety requirements
• Maintain a clean and organized work area

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of welding experience in a fabrication or manufacturing environment
• Strong MIG welding experience required
• TIG welding experience on stainless steel and aluminum preferred
• Ability to read blueprints, welding symbols, and fabrication drawings
• Experience working with various metal thicknesses and material types
• Knowledge of weld inspection standards and quality requirements
• AWS Certification preferred but not required
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Trade school or welding certification a plus

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly
• Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the shift
• Comfortable working in a fabrication shop environment with exposure to heat, sparks, and metal particles

Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour
