Welder

About the role

Responsible for fabrication of small and large piece parts and structures with materials such as aluminium, mild steel and stainless steel, using TIG or MIG welding processes.

Key responsibilities

• Execute work according to work instructions, standard procedures and requirements in drawings by reading drawings, measuring, cutting, grinding and tack welding using various power tools and equipment such as grinders, cutters and drills
• Fulfil drawing specifications by carrying out welding on parts and structures
• Direct activities of personnel helping or assisting in the welding process
• Log on and log off jobs, detect and report line down and defective parts and materials in Infohub portal
• Follow safety regulations such as wearing PPE including heat-resistant gloves, welding shield and safety shoes
• Support production 5S by keeping work station clean and orderly to retain a safe and operational work environment
• Complete ad-hoc assignments as required by management
