Welder

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Welder to join our dynamic fabrication and construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing precise welding operations to assemble, repair, and maintain various metal structures and piping systems. Your expertise will ensure that all projects meet strict safety standards, quality specifications, and construction plans. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from pipefitting and sprinkler systems to structural steel fabrication, contributing directly to the success of our construction initiatives.

Duties

• Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), Stick, TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), and pipe welding to join metal components accurately according to blueprints and technical drawings
• Read and interpret construction plans, technical drawings, and fabrication diagrams to ensure precise execution of welding tasks
• Prepare materials by cleaning, cutting, and aligning parts using hand tools and power tools while adhering to safety protocols
• Fabricate and assemble piping systems, including pipe threading, soldering, pipe installation, and fitting sprinkler systems in compliance with NFPA standards
• Maintain a clean work environment by following safety regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and power tool safety procedures
• Conduct routine inspections of welds for quality assurance using measuring tools and visual checks; document all work performed accurately
• Assist with maintenance tasks on existing structures or equipment as needed, supporting ongoing construction site activities

Qualifications

• Proven experience in welding techniques such as MIG, FCAW, Stick welding, TIG welding, and pipe welding within construction or fabrication environments
• Strong ability to read blueprints, construction plans, and technical drawings; interpret specifications accurately
• Mechanical knowledge of piping systems, pipefitting, pipe threading, sprinkler systems installation, and fire sprinkler fitting standards
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, soldering techniques, assembly processes, and basic math skills for measurements and calculations
• Knowledge of safety regulations related to welding operations and construction sites; committed to adhering to NFPA standards and safety protocols
• Prior experience working on construction sites or in similar industrial environments; ability to work efficiently in a team setting under tight deadlines
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on precision craftsmanship and attention to detail

Pay: $27.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 60.0 per week
