About the role

Gensites Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled Welder to join our team. Located in the Parramatta area, this workshop role offers flexible hours, and you will be responsible for performing high-quality welding work across various applications, utilising your technical expertise and attention to detail to ensure all work meets industry standards and client specifications.

What you'll be doing

• Performing welding operations using a variety of welding techniques including MIG, stick and gouging
• Preparing workpieces for welding, including grinding, and positioning materials
• Inspecting completed welds to ensure they meet quality standards and safety requirements
• Maintaining welding equipment and ensuring all tools and equipment are in proper working condition
• Following all workplace health and safety procedures and regulations
• Collaborating with team members and supervisors to complete projects on schedule
• Documenting welding work and maintaining accurate records as required

What we're looking for

• Current welding qualification or recognised welding certification

• Proven experience as a welder in commercial or industrial settings

• Proficiency in welding techniques and the ability to work with various metals and materials

• Strong understanding of welding safety standards and workplace health and safety requirements

• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work

• Physical fitness

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team

• Reliability and punctuality
