Welder

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Welder to join our team in Houston, Texas. The ideal candidate will have experience performing high-quality welding and fabrication work using a variety of welding processes and materials. This position requires the ability to read blueprints, follow welding procedures, and produce quality work while maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform welding operations using MIG, TIG, Stick (SMAW), and Flux-Core (FCAW) processes as required.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and welding symbols.
• Fabricate, assemble, and repair metal components and structures according to specifications.
• Set up and operate welding equipment, torches, grinders, and other fabrication tools.
• Inspect completed welds to ensure compliance with quality and dimensional requirements.
• Prepare materials for welding by cutting, grinding, fitting, and cleaning surfaces.
• Maintain welding equipment and tools in proper working condition.
• Perform basic layout, fitting, and fabrication tasks.
• Follow all company safety policies and welding safety procedures.
• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to ensure projects are completed on time and to quality standards.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Proficiency in one or more welding processes, including MIG, TIG, Stick, or Flux-Core welding.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and welding symbols.
• Experience using measuring tools such as tape measures, squares, calipers, and levels.
• Strong understanding of welding techniques, materials, and safety practices.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Preferred Qualifications

• Current AWS (American Welding Society) certification.
• 3 years of welding experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, construction, or industrial environment.
• Experience welding carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
• Forklift and overhead crane experience.
• Previous experience in an industrial, oil & gas, or manufacturing environment.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and perform physical labor throughout the workday.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and industrial environments.
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including welding helmets, gloves, and safety gear.

Pay: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour
