Job Title: Welder

Location: On-Site - Howell, MI

Eligibility: Must be eligible to work for a U.S. DoD Contractor

Terms: Full-Time; Non-Exempt

Job Summary: The Welder is responsible for welding and fabricating components according to engineering drawings, work instructions and quality standards. This role supports manufacturing operations for equipment supporting our programs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform welding operations on aluminum and stainless-steel components.
• Interpret blueprints, drawings and work instructions to complete weldments accurately.
• Measure and verify parts using tape measures, calipers and other measuring tools.
• Operate welding equipment and related shop tools safety and effectively.
• Follow established processes and procedures while contributing ideas to improve efficiency and quality.
• Inspect welds to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support production.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience working with aluminum and stainless steel.
• Ability to read tape measures and calipers.
• Mechanical aptitude and comfort using hand and power tools.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to wear welding PPE.
• Ability to lift materials and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

• Prior welding experience in a manufacturing or shop experience.
• Experience working from blueprints or technical drawings.
• Familiarity with MIG and TIG welding processes.

Pay: From $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
