Job Overview

As a Welder, you will be responsible for various types of welding preparation, welding and weld finishing operations to perform construction activities in accordance with design drawings, specifications and supervisory instructions.

Responsibilities:

• Welding processes include: MIG, TIG, Stick, carbon, stainless-steel pipe and aluminum sheet metal, pipe, sanitary and structural welding.
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and measurements to plan layouts.
• Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements.
• Measuring and cutting materials to specifications
• Welding materials using the correct materials to join the metals together.
• Checking finished work to make sure that it falls within the tolerances marked on the blueprints.
• Willingness to perform work other than welding as needed.

Experience/Skills:

• Relevant experience with at least 2 years of experience in the welding trade or a completed vocational welding course
• Blueprint reading proficiency a plus.
• 6G weld certifications a plus
• Responsible, detail oriented, critical thinking ability and proactive in approach to problem solving.
• Personal attributes: Motivated self-starter, able to understand project scope, safety minded, quality, project timing, cleanliness, completeness.

Requirements:

• Ability and willingness to travel as needed
• Valid Driver’s License
