Position Summary

Pocket Change Fab is hiring a dependable Raw Parts and Fitting Helper to support the movement of metal parts from cutting through complete weld-ready kits. This is a hands-on shop position involving part identification, deburring, cleaning, sorting, kitting, material handling and basic fit-up assistance under the direction of the Raw Parts and Fitting Manager.

Why This Role Matters

PCF is expanding its production space and adding new cutting equipment. Every cut part must be cleaned, identified, organized and matched correctly before it reaches fitting or welding. This role helps prevent missing parts, mixed revisions, poor fit-up and lost production time.

What You Will Do

Collect and move laser-cut, saw-cut and tube-cut parts to the correct staging area.

Identify, label and organize parts by work order, product, revision and quantity.

Deburr, grind, clean and prepare metal parts safely using approved tools and procedures.

Count parts and report shortages, damaged pieces or unidentified components immediately.

Build complete parts kits with required hardware, drawings and job travelers.

Assist with forming, fixture setup and basic fit-up as trained and assigned.

Check part orientation, hole location, bend direction and mating components before release.

Keep racks, carts, fixtures, tools and work areas clean, organized and clearly marked.

Follow material-handling, lifting, personal-protective-equipment and equipment-safety rules.

Complete assigned work accurately, record status and ask questions before guessing.

What Good Performance Looks Like

Complete kits are delivered to fitting or welding on time.

Parts remain correctly labeled, counted and separated by revision.

Deburred and prepared parts meet the required workmanship standard.

Shortages and questionable parts are reported before they stop production.

Tools, fixtures, carts and work areas remain clean and organized.

Safety procedures and instructions are followed consistently.

Required Qualifications

Dependable attendance, punctuality and willingness to complete assigned work.

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and keep parts organized.

Basic ability to use a tape measure and identify quantities, labels and part numbers.

Willingness to learn drawings, measurement tools, metal-preparation methods and fixture use.

Ability to work safely around metal, sharp edges, grinders, cutting equipment, forklifts and moving material.

Ability to stand, bend, reach and perform repetitive shop work throughout the shift.

Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation and obtain assistance for heavier items.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous metal fabrication, welding-helper, manufacturing, warehouse or parts experience.

Experience with grinders, deburring tools, drills, hand tools or material-handling equipment.

Basic drawing-reading, caliper, square or angle-finder experience.

UTV, SXS, automotive or powersports interest or experience.

Forklift or overhead-lifting experience.

Work Expectations

Work carefully and do not mix, discard or release unidentified parts.

Ask for clarification when a part, drawing or instruction does not match.

Protect product quality instead of hiding damage or mistakes.

Maintain a clean work area and return tools to their assigned locations.

Support the team and respond professionally to coaching and corrections.

Schedule

Schedule: Full time and on site in East Texas. Overtime or adjusted hours may be required when production commitments or equipment issues require additional coverage.
