Welder / Maintenance Engineer

SGC has a vacancy for an in house welder/fabricator with experience in mechanical maintenance.

Must be competent in MIG but preferably with experience in MMA and TIG.

The role is mainly to assist in the construction of equipment used in house and to support our planned in house maintenance regimes, but reactive maintenance/repair tasks will also be required.

You will need to be able to measure, quantify and list materials required for specific job.

Be able to work on your own initiative as well as form drawings and to agreed methods.

The position is predominantly a welder/fabricator role but experience in any of the following would be beneficial.

Machining using manual lathe. Mechanical servicing on plant including, excavators, tractors, forklifts, telehandlers, trucks, vans.

Knowledge of fixed equipment including, compressors, pumps and pipe fitting.

Must be flexible and accommodate any type of tasks as the business requires.

Starting on £15.50 then reviewed after successful completion of probationary period

Pay: From £15.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
