Welder - North Lima

Job Summary
The Welder is responsible for set up and operation of conventional welding equipment in a fabrication/job shop environment. The candidate must be able to lay a clean open-root GTAW pass with MIG fill and cap on a range of pipe diameters and schedules, including heavy wall, working to ASME Codes.

Welds must consistently pass RT, VT, and PT.

Minimum Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in the layout, fabrication, and welding of metal components
• Adept at various types of metal joining
• Knowledge of mathematics used to calculate dimensions and tolerances
• Mechanical aptitude using a variety of hand tools and shop equipment
• Working knowledge of industry standards for welding and fabrication
• Ability to read, understand and interpret blueprint
• Ability to weld in all position
• Must be able to pass 6G weld test
• Must possess own hand tools and tool box
• Must be able to take and pass a vision acuity test

Essential Physical Functions

• Climb and work from ladders
• Frequent standing, sitting, stooping, kneeling, and bending
• Lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Work from a kneeling or laying position when required
• Exposure to fumes, noise, and varying temperatures
